Enterprises in Zhanjiang gradually resume work

In order to promote the resumption and production of enterprises, Zhanjiang has introduced related support policies and measures to vigorously provide assistance to enterprises on the basis of the superior support policies and the actual conditions of the city.

Multiple government departments of Zhanjiang have issued measures for benefiting enterprises, subsidy policies, and facilitation measures to provide scientific guidance for enterprises to resume production.

As of Feb 29, 708 industrial enterprises above designated size in Zhanjiang have resumed work and production, while a total of 74,000 people have returned to work, as the city continues to make every effort to promote both epidemic prevention and control, as well as economic development.

According to statistics, Zhanjiang has a total of 6,812 enterprises in the five major areas of industrial, residential construction, commerce, transportation, as well as food and medicine production. As of Feb 29, 5,514 have returned to work and resumed production, a rate of 80.95 percent.

As of Mar 1, 66 of the 97 key construction projects in Zhanjiang have resumed construction, including the China-Kuwait Integrated Refining project, the No 3 blast furnace project of Baosteel, the Yulin-Zhanjiang Highway project, the Tiaoshun Cross-sea Bridge project, the relocation project of Zhanjiang Airport, as well as the 300,000-ton waterway reconstruction and expansion project.

In addition, 131 of 156 key enterprises in the business service industry have resumed production, a rate of 83.97 percent. A total of 288 of 322 transportation enterprises have resumed work, a rate of 89.44 percent. All 122 pharmaceutical production and wholesale chain enterprises in the city have returned to work.
