The Zhanjiang human resources and social security bureau has fully exerted its functions to ensure stable employment in the city to face the needs of the novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control efforts, as well as for the resumption of work and production for enterprises.
The bureau has organized seven chartered buses to bring back 141 migrant workers, as well as resolved temporary shortages in several enterprises through measures like adjusting labor shortages and matching services of technical colleges and enterprises. Online job postings and recruitment in places like Liuzhou, Guangxi and Longnan, Gansu were also increased.
In order to help small and medium-sized enterprises overcome the difficulties caused by the epidemic, the bureau has actively implemented relevant policies to support the development of enterprises, including deferred payment of social insurance, deferred repayment of entrepreneurial loans, reduction of business operating costs, and financing support.
The bureau also took measures to broaden and deepen channels for employment and entrepreneurship, such as developing non-profit posts, carrying out vocational skills promotion, increasing business subsidies for returned workers, and implementing rural e-commerce projects.
The city has improved the level and quality of basic public employment services by strengthening employment public services, services of key employment enterprises, collection of job information, purchase services, and the development of human resources service industries. The level of research, assessment, risk prevention, and response capabilities were also improved by improving employment and unemployment registration, increasing employment and unemployment monitoring, as well as strengthening the supply of public employment services during the epidemic prevention and control period.
In addition, the bureau has carried out in-depth implementation of the employment and entrepreneurship promotion plan for college graduates, as well as strengthened classification and assistance to key groups, such as migrant workers, retired soldiers, middle-aged unemployed people, and impoverished people, to help them find jobs in various channels.
