The Zhanjiang civil affairs bureau issued the Notice on the Minimum Standards for Subsistence Allowances for Urban and Rural Areas in Zhanjiang in 2020, noting that the city's urban and rural low-income assistance standards and supplementary levels for poor people will be increased by 10 percent over last year's.

According to the notice, the city's urban minimum living standard in 2020 will be increased from 702 yuan ($100.14) in 2019 to 772 yuan per person per month, and the level of compensation will be increased from 554 yuan to 609 yuan per person per month. The minimum living standard for rural areas in 2020 will be increased to 532 yuan per person per month, and the level of supplementation will be increased to 276 yuan per person per month.

In 2020, the minimum standard of support for urban poor people in Zhanjiang will be raised from 1,124 yuan per person per month in 2019 to 1,236 yuan per person per month. The support standard for rural poor people will be raised from 775 yuan per person per month in 2019 to 852 yuan per person per month.

In addition, in order to gradually improve the system, all counties (cities, districts) must improve their dynamic management mechanism, implement informatization verification and classified management of insurance objects, as well as conduct periodic reviews.
