A total of 46 cities and regions, including Zhanjiang in Guangdong province and Xiong'an New Area in Hebei province, received approval from the State Council on May 6 to establish comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce.
The batch of pilot zones will replicate the mature experience and practices of the first four batches of comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce, such as promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, as well as carrying out brand building. They will aim to stabilize foreign trade and foreign investment, as well as advance the high-quality development of trade.
