The second China Sea Rice Development Forum will be held in Zhanjiang, South China's Guangdong province from June 28 to 30.

As an important part of his year's Guangdong-ASEAN Agricultural Trade Expo, the forum will be hosted by the National Saltwater-tolerant Rice Technology Innovation Center and undertaken by Guangdong Ocean University (GDOU).

Rice experts like Yuan Longping, who is known as the "Father of Hybrid Rice" in China, industry elites, and business leaders will attend the forum to conduct in-depth discussion and exchanges on the new models, new methods, and new growth drivers for the development of sea rice.

The unveiling ceremony for the South China Center of the National Saltwater-tolerant Rice Technology Innovation Center will also be carried out during the forum.

The National Saltwater-tolerant Rice Technology Innovation Center was established under the initiative of Yuan Longping. Its South China Center has been built by GDOU, while construction of projects including the sea rice experiment and demonstration base, as well as the basic research and development center have been completed.
