Nearly 90 percent of the flights have resumed at Zhanjiang Airport since June, with about 500 flights a week and an average passenger load factor of about 60 percent.

A total of 70 flights were flown on June 11, the highest since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The airport suspended a number of domestic and international flights at the end of January due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic. With production and work resuming nationwide, the airport started implementing its flight plan for the new season on May 3 under the premise of taking strict COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures.

To date, flights to domestic provincial capitals at Zhanjiang Airport have basically resumed operations.

In addition, the direct flight between Zhanjiang and Jieyang was officially launched on June 11, which is available every day. Planes will depart from Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport at 8:35 am and arrive at Zhanjiang Airport at 10:00 am, and will leave Zhanjiang at 10:50 am and arrive at Jieyang at 12:15 pm.
