According to a list released on July 6 of the 100 cities in China with the highest online popularity, Zhanjiang ranks 90th - and it was the only city in the west of Guangdong province to be included.

The list was created based on five aspects, namely the online trend index, live streaming index, fashion life index, industrial development index, and impression index. It provides a comprehensive perspective for studying the influence-shaping and industrial layout of each city.

Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong, Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, Chengdu in Sichuan province, Xi'an in Shaanxi province, Changsha in Hunan province, Nanjing in Jiangsu province, and Chongqing are the top 10 cities on the list.
