Xuwen Port in Zhanjiang remained in stable operation during the eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 8, due to its complete transport organization scheme.

A total of 288 liners arrived at and departed from Xuwen Port during the eight days, transporting a total of 29,802 vehicles, 94,301 passengers, and 414,724 metric tons of cargo.

The Nanshan operation area of Xuwen Port was opened on Sept 26 as the country's largest roll-on and roll-off passenger harbor. It is designed to have an annual handling capacity of 3.2 million vehicles and 17.28 million passengers. The shipping time between Xuwen Port and Xinhai Port of Haikou in Hainan province has been halved to one hour.
