The China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) county economic research center issued the 2021 CCID Top 100 Rural Revitalization Counties list on April 14, in which three county-level cities in Maoming made the list.
On April 12, the super-large 30-person hyperbaric oxygen chamber of Gaozhou People's Hospital passed the acceptance inspection and was officially opened, welcoming the first 13 people to experience oxygen therapy.
Maoming is China's largest tilapia production base and export processing base, producing an output value of 6.5 billion yuan ($1.02 billion) last year, as well as providing 100,000 jobs.
Since it was recognized as a national civilized city in September 2017, Maoming has been guided by its unique, gentle culture and encouraged residents to become active participants and beneficiaries of the creation of a civilized city.
CCID Urban Economic Research Center recently issued a report on the top 100 dynamic cities in China, in which Maoming, Guangdong province ranked 85th.
Maoming is committed to building beautiful towns to boost rural revitalization, with 93 towns and streets included in its work plan for the construction of beautiful and towns, which it issued on Feb 22.
