Lianjiang music town included on provincial list

Lianjiang music town was included on the list of provincial distinctive towns to be cultivated, according to the recent notification made by the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

A total of 34 towns were included on the list, and Lianjiang music town was the only one from Zhanjiang to be included.

The music town will be located in Jishui town of Lianjiang, a county-level city of Zhanjiang, and has a planned area of 4.47 square kilometers. Major projects include music themed hotels, a research and development center for musical instruments, a high-tech industrial park, as well as a music school.

It is planned to be built into an international ecological music town by 2030, which will boast distinctive features and the complete functions of industries, culture, community, as well as tourism.

"After completion, the music town is expected to have a gross regional domestic product of 12 billion yuan ($1.75 billion), and the output value of its leading industries can reach 9.6 billion yuan," said Chen Yi, board chairman of Longjoin Group, which is undertaking the construction works of the music town.

"It can also introduce 20 high-tech enterprises, as well as 60 entrepreneurship and innovation teams, bringing job opportunities for more than 100,000 people," added Chen.

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Dongguan, Guangdong province, Longjoin Group has built a world-class integrated platform in the musical culture industry. It currently owns 29 subsidiaries and more than 100 technical invention patents.
