The seventh Zhanjiang Ocean Week will be held in the city from Oct 1 to 5, which will coincide with the Golden Week of the National Day holiday that runs from Oct 1 to 8 this year.

More than 50 featured and cultural activities will be carried out at the main venue and 11 branch venues around the city, adding to Zhanjiang's offerings for the upcoming eight-day holiday.

The activities include performances of Zhanjiang's intangible cultural heritages like the lion dance and the Nuo dance, a Zhanjiang-themed painting and calligraphy exhibition, sailboat and sailboard exhibitions and performances, children singing performances, a fresh oyster-themed cultural festival, as well as a sand sculpture exhibition.

This year's Guangdong (Zhanjiang) Tea Cultural Expo will also take place during the Zhanjiang Ocean Week at the Zhanjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center from Oct 1 to 5. It will organize sales activities for the tea cultural and tourism industries, hold tea cultural forums, as well as carry out a tea master contest.
