The second China Sea Rice Development Forum is scheduled to take place in Zhanjiang, South China's Guangdong province from Oct 29 to 31. Yuan Longping, known as the "father of hybrid rice," will officiate as chairman of the event.

Jointly hosted by the National Saline-Alkali Tolerant Rice Technology Innovation Center and the China National Hybrid Rice Research and Development Center, the forum will attract the participation of government officials, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs in the sea rice sector from around the country.

High-end summits and four parallel forums will be carried out to explore new technologies, new models, new approaches, and new business forms for the development of sea rice, as well as to accelerate the development of the whole sea rice industry.
