Green dates produced in Leizhou, a county-level city in Zhanjiang, recently won recognition as a National Geographical Indication Product by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

A total of 11 agricultural products in Guangdong province, including Leizhou green dates and rice produce in Shanwei's Haifeng county, were recognized as National Geographical Indication Products.

In recent years, Guangdong has been promoting its agricultural development by accelerating the registration of National Geographical Indication Products. The national honor has become an effective means to improve the quality and promote the branding development of agricultural products.

By April 30, Guangdong had a total of 50 recognized National Geographical Indication Products.
