The Zhanjiang Airport relocation project is in full swing, with the steel frame of the second floor of the airport's terminal building being completed on Aug 18.

By the end of July, the project had had a total of 1,239 people involved in its construction, and had seen a total investment of nearly 1.45 billion yuan ($209.49 million). From January to July this year alone, the project completed 469 million yuan in investment.

Currently, construction of the airport's terminal area is 38 percent complete, while that of the aircraft movement area is 21 percent complete.

The relocation project is scheduled to be finished and pass the completion acceptance by the end of 2021, and will be put into use in the first quarter of 2022.
